Experience in business development

This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on-line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee.

URS is a leader in the southwest, including Arizona and New Mexico, in geotechnical design, with a large team, established clients, and many challenging projects. This position would lead the Arizona design practice for new dams and dam rehabilitation and support business development.

Personally provide the technical leadership for dam/levee engineering projects.

Serve as project manager of medium- and large-sized design projects and provide design leadership for existing major projects and clients in Arizona and the Southwest region.

Provide Leadership in hiring and developing junior and mid-level engineering staff

Demonstrate excellent communication skills including technical and proposal writing.

The requirement to lead projects and personnel means that the following skill sets will be utilized on a regular basis

Geotechnical
Civil Design
Project Cost Estimating
Project Management
Proposal Writing
Business Development
