Minimum Requirements: URS is seeking cleared IT professionals to fill Theater Battle Management Control System (TBMCS) Command and Control (C2) Systems Engineers and Systems Administrator positions immediately at Tyndall AFB, Florida in support of the 601st Air Operations Center (AOC). Minimum requirements in Bachelor degree and experience in system/network security, DoD/USAF IA implementation, and knowledge of TBMCS AOC operations. Location is Panama City Florida. Timing is immediate. Required Skills: A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and 8+ years experience in systems/network security and prior experience with DoD/USAF information assurance/security program implementation and/or oversight. An additional 5 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience in Air and Space Operations Centers (AOC) system engineering, integration, administration, and operations which include but not limited to Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS), Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC), and Joint Automated Deep Operations System (JADOCS).
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with maintaining and configuring network server, switching, data storage and server software. Prior experience working with CISCO network device configuration and firewall implementation/operation, detailed understanding of DoD/USAF information assurance policies and procedures as well as prior experience implementing IA in an operational support environment, prior experience with USAF Command and Control Systems and/or working in a USAF Air Operations Center (AOC) and particularly with web development, and certifications such as Security+, CISCO and/or MicroSoft certifications. Certifications. Candidates with CISSP and Advanced Solaris / Cisco certifications are preferred.
Job Segments: Cisco, Database, Defense, Engineer, Engineering, Government, Military, Scientific, Security Clearance, System Administrator, Systems Engineer, Technology, Testing Job Description: The candidate shall submit; validated C4I requirements to the Chief, AOC Communications Support Team (CST); user account information to the System Administrator; coordinate for sourcing of operational system data (e.g. mapping and imagery data, ATO/ACO databases, etc.); shall validate and prioritize operator User Support Requests; validate and prioritize C4I system software problem reports (SPR), baseline change requests (BCR), and documentation change requests (DCR); direct, perform, and coordinate AOC WS end-to-end validation test prior to and during exercises and operations; establish system access and password issue processes; ensure that proper levels of security are maintained (e.g. US Only vs. Coalition); develop, maintain, and coordinate AOC weapon system downtime and upgrades and timelines, establishing and coordinating priorities as appropriate; in coordination with AOC Division Chiefs and CST, determine database backup and recovery process, policies, and timelines; in coordination with the AOC Information Management Office (IMO). Develop web server, shared file server, and data archiving requirements; act as the United States Message Test Format (USMTF) focal point for the AOC for collecting and submitting recommended changes to the AOC WS Lead Command; coordinate with higher headquarters (HHQ) on theater-wide C4I systems issues to include acting as focal point for coordinating theater-wide operational cutover to new versions of systems and software; support Chief of AOC Systems and C2 Systems Team to ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software is on-line and available to the user as outlined in AFI 13-1 AOC, Volume 3; all participate in Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of C2 systems and new technologies; collaborate with local AOC Training Managers as necessary to ensure mission qualification training (MQT) requirements and instruction are accurate and reflect the individual AOC configurations, technologies and support responsibilities. identify and recommend future AOC Weapon System requirements to the Government; participate in operational planning, fielding verification and validation of AOC upgrades and modifications; provide liaison between the AOC Director and the Chief of AOC Systems to ensure requirements are known, validated, and prioritized; and to ensure AOC C4I systems are setup, configured and operating in a manner that meets operational needs; work with the COP Manager to design, execute, and manage the AOC COP/SAA architecture; coordinate C4I system requirements (e.g., systems, software, user account, data, etc.) with the AOC Divisions/Cell/Teams; ensure systems and versions compatibility with sister and coalition forces; assist in C4I architecture development; provide AOC weapon system expertise and technical advice to the AOC Configuration Management process; oversee the AOC Floor organization and equipment placement; provide periodic report to the Chief of Mission Systems and/or the Chief of AOC Communications and Information regarding the status of compliance with SPO and MAJCOM Configuration Management policies as well as site specific standards.
Maintain current as-built site configuration in the CM status accounting tool; maintain as-built CM status accounting records containing baseline information on site systems’ floor plans and all architectures; prepare, submit, and monitor Request for Variance letters for any site variance; provide technical reports of any/all upgrades/changes to the systems under their management prior to and following the upgrades/changes. The reports delivered prior to change will be used to coordinate and approve the changes. Those delivered following the changes will be used to document the accurate system state.
