Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
5 years of job-related experience (or a Bachelors' Degree and 1 year experience), with a strong understanding of heavy construction, tunnel construction or similar field.
Strong experience in underground construction with an emphasis on concrete construction.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy. Job Description: This is a field-based position which will require shift and weekend work, as necessary.
Assist in the preparation of execution packages for the CM staff covering concrete pour operations on a shift basis.
Prepare and lead training and safety workshops.
Record and report all work performed, including deviations from approved work plans, contract documents, poor quality of work, unforeseen conditions, unsafe conditions, etc.
Prepare shift reports.
Interface with Lead Inspector to maintain and track various logs, reports and field records for the designated area of responsibility.
Assist in the review of shop drawings and Construction Work Plans (CWPs).
Monitor the Contractor's timely prosecution of work.
Perform Safety and Environmental Surveillance and liaise with ESA Safety Engineers.
Interface with Contractors Superintendent for onsite resolution of construction issues.
Interface with MTA Quality Control Staff.
