Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience.
10 years of experience in design, construction and/or project management, with 5 years in construction-related quality assurance/control.
Strong knowledge of industry practices.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
Job Description:
Perform oversight of processes, activities and work products of the Construction Quality Engineers.
Interface with contractor's quality representative, code compliance unit and other construction support personnel (safety, environmental, survey, etc).
Review the contractor's quality program, construction work plans, checklists and attend readiness reviews of major construction activities.
Perform oversight of the contractor's implementation of its Quality Management System Plan implementation.
Review reports for consistency and completeness on daily construction activities, resources and progress.
Report quality non-conformances, deficiencies and contractor's corrective actions.
Review plans, specifications and approved submittals and assist inspectors to identify deviations from quality requirements in the field.
Perform Quarterly Quality Evaluations of assigned contracts.
Provide quality related training as required.
Track and report on contractor's audit activities.
Schedule and chair periodic Quality Workshops with the Contractor Quality Representatives and the CM.
Attend Quality Management and Construction Progress meetings.
