Minimum Requirements: Requirements/Expectations: • Education: High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent experience. • In addition to education, 5+ years experience in electronics, pneumatics and hydraulic instrumentation and process controls associated with building management and building and fire monitoring systems. • Experience with digital controls systems, fires systems, PLC's, building automation systems, etc. • Knowledge and/or training in building automation controls. • Experience working in a CMMS environment. • Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. • Ability to analyze problems, recommends solutions, and initiate repairs. • High attention to detail and excellent follow up skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Friendly, cooperative, customer service-minded attitude; team player. • Must be self motivated with excellent time management skills. • Ability to work with little or no direction at times. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. • Some travel may be required.

Physical Requirements • Have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. • Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift. • Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift. • Have the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift. • Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift. • Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift. • Have the ability to walk extensively through out the plant for shift. • Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Position Description: Responsible for providing advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative maintenance on the industrial HVAC, Building Management System (BMS), fire safety system, Laboratory equipment, PLC's and other controls for commercial and industrial equipment. Will also respond and provide service and feedback to the customer on monitoring controls issues for conditioned spaces.
Essential Functions: • Utilizes the building automation system (BAS) to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment. • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs heating and ventilation equipment controls, pumps, fans, chillers, dryers, compressors, and other fire safety systems equipment as necessary. • Creates and modifies site operations procedures for equipment and recommends facilities improvements. • Oversees the installation of BAS equipment and devices. • Performs preventive maintenance and calibrations on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. • Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems • Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations. • Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required. • Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. • Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. • Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment. • Under general supervision, performs tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Flexible in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
