Inside Commercial Representative

Summary

As an Inside Commercial Representative, you will serve as the main point of contact for commercial customers, which includes finalizing sales, resolving customer issues, and providing ongoing services to current customers. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of like-minded representatives to enhance the customer service function, complete sales, and exceed customer expectations in a call center environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Fields customer service inquiries and transactions of high complexity from commercial and industrial customers.

  • Strives to meet or exceed sales, service and operational goals established for the call center, including productivity, quality, weekly and monthly sales activity targets and timeliness goals.

  • Performs outbound calling campaigns and follow-up work to evaluate and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Attempts to retain customers who call to cancel services by probing for cancellation reasons and offering alternatives.

  • Uses authorized system to gather information, provide information, and/or update customer records, such as billing and contracts.

  • Effectively use sales productivity software tools.

  • Adheres to service and operational standards established for the call center, including quality, productivity, Service Machine, safety and timeliness goals.

  • Completes cross training with Operations, Sales and Billing.

  • Serves as a day-to-day resource for new hires and other customer service representatives requiring some guidance, assistance and training.

  • Assists supervisory staff with handling escalated calls that may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures and other situations that may require adaptation of response or extensive research according to customer response.



Requirements



  • Legally eligible to work in the United States

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • 2 or more years working in a customer service/call center environment

  • Must be able to type 35 words per minute

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Ability to use a computer in a Windows based environment

  • Proficiency (perform the skill without assistance) using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen and background check



Preferred Qualifications


  • Associates degree or equivalent experience

  • Up to 3 years experience in customer service

  • Additional or specialized training
