This position will be fully dedicated to working on the travel options program of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts throughout the state. The Transportation Demand Management Coordinator will be primarily responsible for leading and coordinating the Worksite Programs team, establishing traffic and pollution-reducing programs at worksites statewide while developing cooperative relationships with stakeholders such as Regional Transit Authorities, Regional Planning Associations, and Transportation Management Associations.
This Boston-based position requires in-person collaboration with the MassRIDES leadership team along with extensive direct interaction in the field with major employers, developers, and Worksite Programs team members.
Responsibilities / Objectives:
The Transportation Demand Management Coordinator will: -Mentor and motivate the Worksite Programs team and monitor their productivity/goals, problem-solving to create strategic solutions for the team and their worksite partners. -Guide team members in recruiting employer partners statewide and facilitating implementation of worksite initiatives to reduce drive alone commuting. -Collect and monitor Worksite tracking statistics; monitor monthly/quarterly/annual goals with Deputy Program Manager. -Analyze data to identify Transportation Demand Management opportunities. -Monitor effectiveness of mandated worksite TDM initiatives such as the Massachusetts Ridesharing regulation and Section 61 Findings for new developments. -Provide oversight & assist Transportation Management Associations in successful completion of MassDOT scope of services tasks. -Assist with review of resumes and interviews. -Train new staff on the Worksite Programs process. -Maintain & upgrade contact database - Work closely with the Worksite Programs team to keep the database current and accurate.
