Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field.
6 years of job-related experience, including design and/or construction management experience with large rail transit projects.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
Job Description:
Ensure that the Systems Design adheres to established codes and standards, East Side Access Design Criteria, stakeholder requirements as well as safety and security requirements.
Ensure that the design conforms to the set of Systems Functional and Performance requirements that support the end-user operational requirements.
Ensure conformance with project schedule and budget.
Support and coordinate with the Safety and Security Program Certification process.
Coordinate with the stakeholders associated with the ESA project (design and construction); MTACC, LIRR, MNR, NYCT, Amtrak, MTA PD, NYPD, FDNY, ConEd and similar agencies, ensuring that requirements are identified, captured and the design solution is incorporated into the overall design.
Technical coordination with the GEC designer and agencies, particularly LIRR and MNR.
Work closely with the GEC designer to ensure complete and comprehensive Systems design.
Coordinate technical Systems elements during construction, testing and commissioning.
Ensure configuration management processes are followed for systems elements, versions, software and data rollouts, etc.
Coordinate with Operational Readiness to support the respective pre-revenue activities leading up to revenue service.
