Job Description:

I. Job Summary

Researches, develops and implements routing and logistics plans to enhance productivity, safety, and decreased costs.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

Designs and re-designs routing and logistics solutions through the collection, verification, and analysis of current data relating to existing routes, vehicles, disposal facilities, and productivity.

Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Creates and implements plans to optimize routes and other transportation operations.

Communicates route changes to key personnel, and provides necessary training and transitioning tools.

Monitors activity during implementation of new, optimized routes.

Monitors and analyzes productivity results.

Developes business improvement plans aligned wiht strategic goals.

Faciliates the implementation and acceptance of change, drives culture change .

Facilitates training and discussion, assist team leaders with development of coaching and mentoring skills.

Partners with management teams to implement development goals.

Assesses operational health and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Effectively communicate with multiple levels of company hierarchy to achieve objectives.

Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) most of the work day;

Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements part of the work day;

V. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required: Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Business Administration or similar area of study, and zero to three years previous experience.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Business Administration or similar area of study, and zero to three years previous experience.

B. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Operations based experience, routing and mapping software experience, and project management skills required.
