ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs a variety of administrative tasks, which may include budget preparation, travel arrangements and meeting logistics, scheduling, reporting and tracking information for management.  Provides direct support to a Deputy General Counsel and may support others.  Includes frequent interaction with all members within the organization; as well as customers, vendors, and business relations.  Make interpretations and recommendations as appropriate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize time and manage diverse activities.  Meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Office, Word and Excel.  Requires database management skills with ability to produce reports.  Ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the Internet. Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills including experience drafting articles, memos, summaries, meeting notes, and other correspondence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year related experience or equivalent combination. 
  • Experience with MS Office, including use of the Internet.
  • Experience coordinating projects, setting realistic deadlines, managing a timeline, or related.
  • Experience working with a wide range of people, such as board of directors, donors, volunteers, the public and/or all levels of staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • Work requires only minor physical exertion and/or strain. Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements.

This is a part-time, short-term (6 months) hourly position (7 hours a day; 3 days a week; or a combination thereof).
