Minimum Requirements: Must have BS degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum 7 years experience. NY PE required. Must be completely proficient in Autocad 2010. Ideal candidate has a complete understanding of permit requirements for permitting oil and gas wells in New York or PA. as well as an understanding of the Marcellus Shale Gas. Must be able to work with others to accomplish project goals. This position will work directly with other departments in the Buffalo office, as well as URS Pittsburgh, Williamsport, and Philadelphia offices. Job Description: Responsibilities include the design of land development type projects and water impoundments using AutoCAD software for the Marcellus Shale industry. Design includes grading, roadways, impoundment grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, and synthetic liner expertise. Position is geared toward the individual becoming a NYSDEC liaison for the permitting of impoundments, including Erosion and Sediment Control General Permits (ESCP-1), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, and Centralized Impoundment Dam Permits.
