Minimum Requirements: Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facility Management or other relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience: 15 years engineering, operations/maintenance, M&O, construction, project controls, and/or procurement experience. Capable of performing as the project manager on a medium-risk, medium-complexity project. Has recent experience as a Project Manager in the Engineering and Construction (E&C) industry delivering successful projects for oil and gas clients domestically and/or internationally. Specific experience in any of the following sectors is desired; upstream oil and gas production and processing (including oil sands), midstream gas treating and storage, gas monetization projects including GTL and/or LNG, clean technology projects including gasification, biomass, sulfur treating and handling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willing to travel as required, both domestically and internationally, to support the needs of the project. Typical Responsibilities Include:
Capable of successfully performing as a Senior Project Manager on projects up to $100 million TIC project/contract. Working as a Project Manager or under the supervision of a Project Director, demonstrates and provides project leadership in their area of responsibility. Leadership: Demonstrates leadership by example with integrity and candor. Leads project and/or proposal efforts for small and mid-size projects. Judgment & Management of Project Risk: Consistently demonstrates the ability to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities. Organizational Skills: Demonstrates knowledge of resources and capabilities across the Business Group for appropriate incorporation into project organization. Execution Planning: Capable of developing and taking responsibility for the Project Execution Plan development for small and/or medium size projects. Contracts: Participates in contract negotiations. Client Relationship: Clearly understands the scope of work and contract requirements or those requirements that pertain to his/her area of responsibility. Negotiation: Participates with Business Development and Business Group management in assessment, strategic development, and negotiations with customers. May serve as the Proposal Manager of a medium to large-sized project. Presentation Skills: Supports or conducts formal presentations to clients and/or internal management.
