Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ECPD or ABET accredited school.

Five (5) years experience in a consulting engineering environment, with a minimum of three (3) years involvement in New York City projects.

Engineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT/FE) certificate from any U.S. state or territory.

Solid working knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and codes.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2010, Adobe PDF Acrobat Reader, etc).

Valid Driver's License

Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will, with some supervision, perform lighting and power calculations to select equipment, code analyses, assign engineering calculations to junior engineers, drafting mark-ups to CADD technicians. There will also be time spent in design coordination reviews as well as QA/QC reviews. Externally, there will be interaction with clients, construction managers, architects and engineers from outside firms.

Reports directly to the MEP Department Manager, and receives technical oversight from senior electrical engineers within the MEP Department. This position interacts on a daily basis with mechanical, plumbing, structural and fire protection project engineers and architects, as well as the other MEP discipline chief engineers.
