Transportation Construction Engineering – Virginia Market Director: Candidate will be primarily responsible for development and oversight of construction administration and inspection services for transportation projects involving construction of roadways, interstates, bridges, and related projects. Candidate must be knowledgeable of construction practices and policies of the Virginia Department of Transportation and applicable FHWA requirements. Duties will include marketing construction administration services and management of personnel
Requirements: B.S. Civil Engineering or equivalent experience, Construction Management or related degree. A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and/or providing transportation construction services, marketing construction engineering services, leading project meetings with Owners and Contractors, knowledge of computer based construction management systems, and participating in interviews and presentations. Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Additional experience / qualifications that will be beneficial for this position, includes: · Registration as a Professional Engineer. · Design-Build projects · Bidability / constructability reviews · Schedule reviews · Claims analysis and support · Familiarity with Intelligent Transportation Systems. The individual can be located in any of our 4 transportation offices located in Virginia (Arlington, Glen Allen, Roanoke, Virginia Beach).
