Minimum Requirements: Requirements: Master's degree in Civil Engineering or foreign equivalent followed by 1 year of experience in the job offered or related field. Job Description: Responsible for conducting computer modeling, analysis, and report preparation for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and floodplain studies. Prepare models for Flood Insurance Studies of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Modeling includes data collection, model creation, validation, and reporting. Prepare Hydrologic models including HEC-HMS, HEC-1, TR-20, and TR-55. Hydrologic studies may also include use of regional regression equations or frequency analysis of gage information. Hydraulic modeling will mostly use HEC-RAS, and may use the Watershed Information system (WISE) interface for automated placement and take off of cross-sections and n-values. Responsible for performing quality control reviews of work performed by junior staff. EOE M/F/D/V |
