Minimum Requirements:

• BS degree in Information Technology, Engineering and 10 years of practical, related experience
• OR High School Diploma and 14 years of practical, related experience
• Valid VA Driver's License
• Experience managing day-to-day maintenance activities
• Experience dealing with Federal, State or Local Government contracts
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access) and Microsoft Project
• Will be subject to 24/7 on-call responsibilities

NOTE: This position is designated as essential and, as such, all duties associated with this job are required during emergency situations which may include but are not limited to inclement weather, disaster response and emergency operations. VDOT/Contract Management will determine when essential positions are required. Valid driver's license is required. DMV records check by the Department is required. Criminal History Records Check and Fingerprint check is required.


Job Description:

URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Maintenance Manager for immediate employment in the VDOT Hampton Roads TOC.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage day to day Maintenance Group activities related to the Hampton Roads Advanced Traveler Management System
• Establish training programs and a level of staff competency relevant to the areas of expertise required to maintain the various components
• Establish maintenance priorities, assuring maintenance resources, and subsequent results, are meeting client expectations
• Develop and provide maintenance management reports to the Project Manager and client
• Coordinate inter-departmental organizational efforts on an as-needed basis
• Review engineering scope of work documents
• Identify and review logistical asset deficiencies (to include obsolescence and life cycle support)
• Maintained staff levels in the Depot, Field and Systems Maintenance departments, as well as the Fleet and Asset Management and IT departments
• Reconcile maintenance related performance metrics on a quarterly basis with VDOT counterpart
• Maintain currency of information in the IT and Field Maintenance Operations Manuals
• Clearly articulate maintenance resource requirements in routine client-contractor planning meetings (monthly)
• Establish action and resource allocation plans associated with ad-hoc projects directed by the client
• Oversee the smooth and efficient processing of weekly payroll processes
• Available for 24/7 on-call responsibilities
• Assume other responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager and/or client representatives
