Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Geological Science, Geology, Earth Science or Environmental Science with a Geology emphasis. 6+ years experience in Arizona Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet Must be able to perform physically challenging and complex field work in remote locations and difficult terrain under all climate extremes. US Citizen or Green Card Holder Job Description: This position offers opportunities to gain experience preparing and implementing scopes of work and maintaining budgets for a wide variety of environmental and water resource projects, drilling with various types of drill rigs, collecting soil and groundwater samples and comparing laboratory analytical results to state and federal regulatory levels for contaminants, and preparing reports to clients and regulatory agencies describing site characteristics and soil and groundwater conditions.
Skills Utilized/Developed:
The successful candidate has the ability to work effectively and efficiently with other personnel, agency representatives, clients, and contracted service providers. The candidate will have opportunities to grow into a decision-making and field supervising position to direct field operations and successfully complete projects in the best technical manner within budget constraints.
Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills to clients, agencies, coworkers, subcontractors and public.
The candidate will promote growth with new projects by maintaining and enhancing client satisfaction.
Experience in environmental site characterization and water resources field work.
Project Examples:
Candidate will work on Phase II site assessments and characterizations that include soil and/or groundwater sampling and analysis; installation, testing and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells; and some soil and groundwater remediation.
Team Dynamic:
The candidate will work in the Water Resources and Environmental Services Division including Water Resources Team hydrogeologists and geologists, Site Investigations Team geologists and field technicians, and Due Diligence Team geologists and environmental scientists. There also will be opportunities to work on environmental remediation projects with environmental and chemical engineers, and environmental planning and resource specialists preparing environmental impact statements throughout western US.
