Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
20 years of directly related work experience in business development and program management related to design/build (D/B), construction management, construction services, and/or operations and maintenance for U.S. Federal clients.
Experience with a diverse U.S. Federal government client base including Department of Defense, Department of State, General Services Administration, Department of Homeland Security, USAID, Veterans Administration and other Federal clients.
Demonstrated success in building strong client relationships and developing strategic business plans that result in growing CONUS and OCONUS markets.
Demonstrated ability to build strong internal business development teams through regional collaboration, networking and recruiting.
Specific experience in contingency operations and executing contract task orders.
Must posses a valid driver's license.
Job Description:
This is a Vice President level position reporting directly to the Group Manager and is a key member of the East Group Business Development and Senior Leadership Team.
Responsible for sustainment and development of the Federal business across the East Group, as well as supporting the expansion of Federal services within URS Infrastructure & Environment (IE) Division.
The Federal Business Line Leader will be responsible for achieving annual sales goals through keen understanding of the market place and ability to lead and win key pursuits.
Will also be responsible for overseeing market research and business trends, developing and enhancing customer relationships, and developing and implementing growth strategies to expand our short-term and long-term business model.
Other duties will include management and preparation of significant proposals, contracting and teaming negotiation, recruiting, staff development and establishing and sustaining relationships with key subcontractors to support the Federal business.
Leads a team of Regional Business Line Leaders, and Client Account Managers (CAM) that develops and executes strategic plans to grow URS’ business in the Federal market.
Responsibilities:
• Support implementation of National Business Line Director, Group Manager's and Regional Managers' strategic plans.
• Coordinate with Office Managers and Regional Business Line Leaders to identify and maintain successful client/pursuit teams.
• Assist in development and achievement of business line sales and revenue goals.
• Facilitate implementation of strategic marketing plans, particularly with more complex initiatives like strategic hiring, establishment of new practices, acquisitions, etc.
• Assist in identifying key clients and pursuits
• Assist in winning key pursuits.
• Provide principal level leadership on projects that are successfully marketed and ensure the delivery of high quality work and exceptional client service.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between Business Line Directors, Regional and Office Managers where appropriate.
• Report on status of market segment growth to the Group, Regional and Office Managers.
• Coordinate with Group Infrastructure and Private Sector Leaders, as well as with Energy & Construction and Federal Services as appropriate.
