Minimum Requirements:

BS in Engineering or Land Surveying or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years experience. Must have PLS. Must be proficient in Autocad, Civil 3D, Word, Excel. Knowledgeable of Trimble survey equipment. Complete understanding of pulling documents, plans and maps, prepare records of surveys, write/read legal descriptions, prepare map checks, process field data, prepare staking drawings and calculations for field crews, check/prepare cut sheets, prepare right-of-way maps, create DTM’s.


Job Description:

Successful candidate will work on fast paced projects. This individual must possess people skilled and be team / goal oriented. Duties may include communication with the field crews to provide support. Communication with design engineers to aid in the preparation of improvement plans. Ability to work on a variety of projects, ranging from GPS control surveys, construction staking, preparation of mapping products for rail corridors. Build on communication skills with internal clients, staff, and field crews. Expand ability to manage time and workflow effectively. Set priorities for projects; coordinate with internal clients and team members to deliver services in timely manner.

A feeling of knowing that you played an integral part in the design and construction of some of the largest engineering projects in Pennsylvania.

Currently the survey department has a support staff of PLS’s, LSIT’s, and CAD drafters. We are fielding multiple survey crews working on various types of projects ranging from Large Rail Corridor Projects, GPS control networks, Mobile and Static 3D Laser Scanning, ALTA’s, topographical surveys to heavy construction staking.

This person should have exceptional communication skills and be able to communicate well verbally and have clear writing skills. Some client / internal contact and communication is required. Written reports and proposals are part of the position requirements.
Ability to advance and grow in a large scale surveying and engineering firm. Become an integral member of the team to help grow the department and increase revenues.

A side from increasing the services provided to other offices in a support role, we are looking for someone to help build the survey department by marketing our own stand alone client base.
