Minimum Requirements: Minimum Master's degree in geology or other geology-related discipline
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience and at least 3 years as a Project Manager with project profit/loss responsibility
Must be able to complete the URS Project Manager Certification Program within 12 months of hire
Must have thorough understanding of Ohio Department of Natural Resources regulations as they relate to the development of the Regional Shale plays; be familiar with the environmental permitting and needs of the oil and gas industry; and be an effective client manager and project manager
Knowledge of the ODNR gas well permitting process
Familiar with Microsoft Office products for report, proposal and presentation preparations
Team oriented and able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Good business development and marketing, technical and price proposal development and strong verbal and written skills
Valid driver's license required
Job Description: The successful candidate will utilize the resources of URS' engineering and scientific staff of over 500 throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and thousands of regional and national resources to provide services to new and existing oil and gas clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuing development of business with existing and new gas exploration and production companies through the preparation of proposals and presentations
Day to day expectations will include: business development and marketing, technical and price proposal development, providing leadership, direction and technical guidance on projects, managing major projects including technical, budget, schedule, quality and client aspects of project
Act as project manager and client manager for major clients
Interact with both clients, regulatory agencies, multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS
May be required to make professional presentations to client or agency representatives
