Minimum Requirements: B.S. degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science.
Minimum six years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineering or Geology license required. Must have 40-hour Hazwoper training certification.
This position requires previous experience with project management, remediation system design, operations and maintenance, LNAPL management, and familiarity with RCRA.
Other requirements include: frequent travel to northwest Indiana in candidate's personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement); ability to work both independently and as part of a team; effective time management; written and oral communication skills; strong problem solving abilities; strong work safety culture; and a desire to learn and grow professionally.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Microsoft Projects, and PowerPoint is required. Successful candidate will be comfortable with both project management and technical tasks; will be competent in field and office tasks; will show solid decision-making, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills; and will be able to perform on multiple projects, as needed.
Successful candidate will be expected to complete 10 hour OSHA construction training and will be expected to obtain URS project management certification (approximately 60 hours).
Successful candidate will be required to obtain homeland security clearance (TWIC). Job Description: Responsibilities include project management tasks such as preparation of budgets and schedule, cost estimating, staff supervision and task delegation; frequent client interaction; performance of technical work; field tasks and oversight; environmental remediation system design; remedial alternatives evaluation; and report preparation.
Additional responsibilities will be determined based upon the needs of remediation group clients and may require priorities to be adjusted on short notice.
Position will report to a senior project manager and will work with various engineers, scientists and administrative personnel. Additionally, candidate will interact with safety and human resources staff to address URS and individual needs. EOE M/F/D/V
