AECOM is seeking an entry level engineer to help grow the transportation group in our downtown Chicago, Illinois office. The prospective candidate should be an enthusiastic individual eager to face challenges, assume responsibility for their efforts and take pride in their accomplishments. Communication and cooperation are critical assets to succeed within our project teams. Candidates are expected to apply their technical training to develop solutions, be willing to work within a group and learn new skills. Responsibilities will include design tasks for the development of reports and construction plans for municipal streets, highways, railroads, airports and other transportation elements. Prior CADD and design software experience is desirable. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages is required. Tasks may include field work, including assignments providing inspection on active construction sites. Successful candidates will have 0 - 2 years experience in transportation related projects. BS or MS in Civil Engineering focused on transportation/civil. EIT strongly encouraged. Prior internship experience is highly desirable.
