Construction Project Assistant - Oswego, New York The challenge? Help create exceptional design and construction of electronics, semiconductor, photo voltaic (solar), data centers, laboratories and R&D facilities worldwide. Our Project Assistant jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on exciting and large-scale advanced technology projects. Each day you will assist the engineering and design team with preparation, maintenance and tracking of complex documents, meeting set-up, database entry, tracking/logging RFI's (request for information), and interact with the client for document transfer. You should be a self-motivated professional with experience working in the Architectural and Engineering industry and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project assistant job.
Our Project Assistants:
- Initiate tasks necessary for project set-up
- Initiate and maintain project team directory: team, client distribution and phone/email list
- Maintain team Outlook calendars
- Perform meeting setup; reserve conference rooms, conference call numbers, food, equipment and client specific needs; initiate/monitor calendar invitations
- Assist in preparation of submittals, RFIs, DCVRs (design clarification/verification request) and other similar types of documents
- Coordinate and assemble project deliverables; project studies, reports, review packages, construction packages, etc.
- Manage project's public folder and associated email requirements for storage
- Maintain and control project files (electronic and hard copy)
- Attend project team and client meetings, as required; take notes, prepare minutes for review and distribution
- Manage electronic specification process in order to meet project schedule
- Report status on key documents that have required response times; RFI, submittals, vendor data, etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in the A/E (architectural & engineering) environment
- Experience supporting multiple levels of staff
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and writing skills (writing sample will need to be provided)
- High School Diploma
