The Vertical Transportation Design Lead will design, develop, and review drawings and submittals on vertical transportation projects (elevators, escalators, and moving walkways). This professional will adapt and modify design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations. The selected candidate will have experience performing the following:
· Designing, modifying, and testing elevator/escalator components and systems · Creating, organizing, and maintaining technical literature related to these designs · Develops designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working designs as well as newly defined needs from sketches and concepts · With minimal supervision, able to manage and support projects simultaneously · 10+ years architecture or similar related experience, 5+ years vertical transportation experience Experience on all phases and aspects of moderate to large scale vertical transportation projects required. Advanced knowledge of project design and construction documentation and construction materials. Intermediate knowledge of design production techniques including Revit (preferred) or AutoCAD, and basic knowledge of 3D computer modeling and graphic design. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft software including, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Effective communication skills required.
