Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field.
• Minimum two years of business development, sales, marketing or other relevant business experience.
• Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Must be a mature, bright, creative, energetic, and articulate individual who has the personal tact and persuasiveness necessary to influence, motivate, and guide employers in the development of travel options programs within local worksites.
• Must posses strong verbal and written communication skills, and want to make Massachusetts a better place to live and work.
• Ability to achieve objectives through teamwork is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
• Valid Driver's License required


Job Description:

URS, a nationally recognized leader in transportation consulting services, is accepting resumes to fill a Business Account Professional position on the MassRIDES statewide travel options program (www.commute.com). This position will be fully dedicated to working on the Massachusetts statewide travel options program.

The Business Account Professional will be primarily responsible for establishing traffic and pollution-reducing programs at worksites including large companies, universities, hospitals and more, resulting in reductions in solo driving.

Responsibilities / Objectives:

• Identifying prospects and engaging in cold calling to increase the number of area employer partners and their participation in the program.
• Delivering presentations to designated area business and community leaders; coordinating special worksite and community events.
• Participating in and conducting seminars for area employers; participating in regional transportation-related task force meetings
• Working with employers to generate measurable results from employer or commuter participation in transportation programs and services.

This position reports to the Deputy Program Manager.
