Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum BS in biology, ecology, wildlife, or related field and minimum 2 years related job experience.
• Strong technical writing and composition skills, wetland delineation, wildlife survey, wildlife management and control, project planning and permitting (Chapter 105 and Section 404) experience required.
• Experience in coordination a variety of regulatory review agencies for project planning and permitting. Experience in Pennsylvania required.
• Candidate should have a familiarity with the PA Natural Heritage PNDI database.
• Proficiency in using computer programs (MS Excel, Word, Access, and Adobe Pro) and Global Position System (GPS) survey equipment.

Job Description:

The Infrastructure and Environment division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented environmental permitting specialist for immediate employment in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in environmental permitting, specific to Pennsylvania Chapter 105, Pennsylvania State Programmatic General Permit 4, Section 404, and nationwide permits for private/commercial land development, utility, transportation, and railroad projects.

Incumbent Responsibilities:

• Coordination with a variety of regulatory and project professionals for completion of an administratively complete environmental permit application(s)
• Wetland/watercourse delineations
• Project reporting
• Coordination of regulatory field view and pre-permit application meetings for the purposes of project planning and permitting
