Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 5 years secretarial/administrative assistant experience. Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with experience in managing calendar and planning meetings and travel.

Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with clients and employees at all levels via phone and in person. Excellent organizational and time management skills and proficiency at multitasking. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Requires total discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

A self-starter who can see what needs to be done and take care of it. Demonstrated judgment in decision-making. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Must have a willingness to learn. Attention to detail and schedule flexibility (willing to work late hours).


Job Description:

This position will be part of the AGE Remediation Group. This group is responsible for remediation of hazardous waste sites and consists of staff with degrees in engineering, geology, and environmental science, and chemistry. The Administrative Assistant/Contracts Administrator
will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Remediation Group by managing a daily calendar, setting up meetings, and communicating with clients, staff, and peers. He/she will also interact with clients, regulators, and with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS.

The successful candidate may also perform various contract administrator duties, including:
Receive and process all contractor invoices.
Verify invoices against construction contract and resolve invoicing disputes.
Interface with Accounts Payable.
Assist with quality control issues to insure contract.
