Job Description:

Position Overview:

As a Floral Team Member, you will work closely with the Floral Specialist/Supervisor to maintain the Dept. and execute the Regional Floral Program. The focus of the position is to carry out the daily tasks of the Dept. that involve receiving and processing product, maintaining Dept. Cleanliness and bucket sanitation, up-keep of the plant watering and care schedule, as well as other tasks as assigned by the Floral Specialist. The Floral TM is fully trained on all aspects of ordering and weekly paperwork, and can assume the role of Floral Specialist to cover Dept as needed. This position offers an opportunity to learn the position of Floral Specialist, and prepares the TM with skills that will enable them to apply for future possible openings within the region at store level, including new store Floral Depts.You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, current, knowledgeable and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Floral Team Member Will Do:
• Maintain excellent communication with Floral Buyer and Produce Team
• Follow and execute weekly Merchandising plan set by Regional Floral Coordinator
• Execute daily task list set by Floral Buyer
• Maintain, and practice the highest quality cleanliness standards
• Maintain dept at the highest TCS standards
• Work with the Store Buyer to maintain clear current signage and pricing of product
• Practice exceptional customer service
• Have flexible schedule and work when needed for business, including (mornings, evenings, weekend, holidays, etc.)
• Perform all duties in time allowed/practice time management and prioritize daily duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Must Have/Be:
1. Floral industry experience Preferred
2. A sense of self-pride and ownership in work ethic
3. Ability to work with a sense of urgency to prioritize tasks, complete daily tasks on schedule
4. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
5. General floral product knowledge with desire and ability to learn additional product knowledge
6. Desire to work with Store Buyer to build the best floral department in the region
7. High level of cleanliness in a workspace with attention to orderliness and organization
8. Self-motivation and ability to work effectively and efficiently while unsupervised
9. Problem solving skills, basic math skills, basic computer skills
10. A positive presence on the floor, positive friendly attitude
