CH2M Hill - Rail Design Engineer Jobs - San Diego, California The challenge? Helping our communities stay safely on the move. Our Rail Design Engineers support rail design efforts for a variety of transit and freight rail programs. Each day you will have the opportunity to work on some of the San Diego region's most exciting transit and rail projects. You will work closely with other engineering professionals on multiple rail design projects throughout the San Diego area. Responsibilities include trackway and alignment design, and identification and implementation of safety improvements. You should be a self-motivated professional with a B.S. in Civil Engineering (or equivalent, M.S. preferred) and be a licensed professional engineer in the State of California with a minimum of 15 years experience in rail design. Successful candidates will be able to work independently on large design tasks with minimal guidance, and provide oversight and mentoring to junior rail designers. You will also demonstrate a knowledge of other design disciplines as well as strong collaborative skills between those disciplines on large teams. Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must. Candidates must be experienced with AutoCAD and MicroStation. Candidates must have as a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each engineering opportunity. Our Rail Design Engineers:
