CH2M HILL Transit/Rail Engineer - San Diego, California

Due to continued success and business growth, our San Diego office is seeking an energetic Transit/Rail Design Engineer to join our team. Our Transit/Rail Engineer careers provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. Each day, you will utilize your skills and contribute to work on track planning, design and construction in connection with complex, multi-disciplined projects. In this position you will be exposed to a wide-range of projects involving track design, rail alignments and station planning design. You will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to complete your assigned tasks in a team environment.
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a BSCE (MS preferred) and 12-20 years of prior experience with track design. Effective verbal and written communication skills are important for client interaction and career advancement. You should have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each engineering job.

Our Transit/Rail Engineers:

Gain experience in various aspects of track design, rail alignments and station planning
Assist in the preparation of project reports Prepare track design plans, detail drawings and project specifications
Review transit plans, performing track alignment calculations and utility research and coordination
Coordinate design activities between client, subcontractor, and CH2M HILL
Provide construction inspection and oversight on various transit/rail construction projects develop and produce conceptual, preliminary and final transit design drawings
Perform quantity calculations

Basic Qualifications

BSCE and 12-20 years of prior experience with track design.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in Civil Engineering preferred

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
