The challenge? Water/Wastewater Project Utility Manager - PROPOSAL in Patuxent River, MD for the US Navy. CH2M HILL is a leader in the Water/Wastewater Industry who is looking for high quality managers that would like an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career with a stable and growing Company.

We are looking for a Project Utility Manager (UM) with the certifications required to oversee Water and Wastewater operations (plants and collection systems) for a project opportunity in Patuxent, Maryland at Naval Air Station Patuxent River. The UM would be responsible for providing a range of custom-tailored operations and maintenance solutions a including permit compliance, safety, quality, and client relationship management. The UM for CH2M HILL is also given overall responsibility for the planning, organization, operations, maintenance, and improvement of the facility or facilities that he/she manages.

Our Utility Managers:

Implement safety policy and procedures.
Maintain the operation process control including compliance with regulatory agencies.
Have strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment.
Provide leadership and management in wastewater and water operations and maintenance quality processes.
Build and maintain positive business relationships with unionized work force, project management, and regulatory agencies.
Administer company policy and procedure.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of five (5) years previous experience managing and operating utility treatment plants with a total of 10 years combined experience in water and wastewater treatment. Five years experience at a supervisory level.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Certifications that meet the State of Maryland for wastewater and water treatment plant operations or the ability to obtain certification within 30-days following contract award.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Candidate must have ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Common Access Card (CAC). To obtain, must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree related to field of environmental water treatment and/or business management
Proficient use of computer software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
