Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Hazardous Materials Management, and/or demonstrated equivalent field • 5years of experience • Have strong experience working for Life Science, Biotech and/or Pharmaceutical Industries, • Familiarity with working on moderate to large research campus(es) • Have strong interpersonal skills working with a wide variety of personnel ranging from highly technical research scientists to maintenance personnel • Knowledge and application of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures within HS&E specialty areas. • Experienced with wide variety of Environmental permit requirements, plans and monitoring in a variety of areas including but not limited to: hazardous materials storage, handling and disposal; spill and pollution prevention; stormwater and/or wastewater discharges; air emissions; and other areas. • Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions • Current knowledge of specific government agencies (e.g,. OSHA, Air Quality Management District, Regional Water Quality Control Board, CUPA, and Department of Toxic Substances Control, etc.) requirements • Ability to work directly with clients (especially on-site at client facilities) and collaborate within client team and meet or exceed their performance expectations Job Description: Do the best work of your life!

The Infrastructure & Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Health, Safety & Environment Professional for immediate employment in the San Jose office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Health & Safety, specific to HSE compliance programs at private sector multinational technology companies. Incumbent Responsibilities: • Under limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex technical work in a wide range of Environmental and HS disciplines to achieve compliance with Environmental as well as some Health & Safety standards • Help assure compliance with local,federal ,and state EHS regulatory requirements • Evaluate, monitor and help prevent hazards and diseases that may be associated with on-site facility processes (multi-building campus) of the client organization • Evaluate, maintain, monitor, assist in keeping in compliance environmental permits required for all of the facilities on campus that have air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous materials storage and disposal • Recommend improvements in processes, designs, procedures and operating equipment to support compliance with permits • Develop and conduct employee training and assure the quality of training programs • Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice EOE M/F/D/V
