Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline corresponding to IE’s business lines or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
Minimum of 20 years in mechanical and plumbing engineering in water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
Must be able to perform mechanical, plumbing, and electrical layout and design using local and national building codes for water and wastewater facilities. Experience in administrating contract documents including: scheduling, pre-bid and pre-construction conferences, change orders, shop drawing administration and project close-out.
Must be able to prepare strategic correspondence, technical reports, and technical specifications using MS Software.
Ability to work and interface with client staff at various levels (engineering, operations, maintenance, etc.) in a diplomatic and positive manner.
Position requires effective time-management, written communications skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will be articulate with professional presence, with solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills.
Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
Requires previous experience with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems for water, wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Job Description: This position is part of the water/wastewater department. This position will report to the Department Manager.
This position will provide mechanical and electrical support for the pre-design, design, construction, startup and maintenance aspects of water and wastewater facilities.
Incumbent will: • Estimate level of effort for multi-discipline water and wastewater (W/WW) facility reports, designs, and bidding documents • Investigate W/WW facilities to develop design criteria and scope of services • Prepare strategic correspondence and technical reports
