Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or appropriate discipline. Minimum six years of Transportation experience.
PE license required.
Familiarity and experience with Phase 1 and Phase 2 Report and Plan Preparation.
Must be proficient in the following computer software: MicroStation, GeoPAK, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must have good communication skills. Job Description: The successful candidate:
Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluations, tests, products or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
Usually performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function.
Conducts peer reviews and makes technical presentations.
Conducts value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials and building techniques. May develop and evaluate project plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering for a moderate scope project.
Reviews and approves scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments.
Tracks overall financial performance of task assignment. This will include coordinating with the Project Manager to monitor sold time and work backlog on task. Actively involved with clients and business development. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and method, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Delegates work to, mentors, trains and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments. EOE M/F/D/V
