Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics or demonstrated equivalent
• Entry-level, no experience required
• Excel-based proficiency in writing logical and lookup/reference formulas, and creating pivot tables
• Familiarity with macros used to automate manual tasks
• Familiarity using Access databases to consolidate large data sets
• Key contributor, self-driven, energetic, and motivated team player with the capability to effectively work on multiple projects/tasks
• Demonstrated aptitude to prepare and interpret financial information
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with management as well as a multi-disciplined cross-section of a large organization
• Good written and oral communication as well as analytical skills

The Assistant Controller Group of URS’ Infrastructure & Environment business is actively seeking an innovative, talented Financial Analyst for immediate employment in the San Francisco office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an impressive skill set applicable to (a) management reporting, and (b) the planning, budgeting and forecasting process of a global organization.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Collects and performs simple analysis of financial data
• Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and management reporting packages
• Conducts monthly actual to budget variance analyses
• Assists with developing presentations for senior management and operations
• Participates in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Supports ad hoc reports and/or analyses as necessary
• Learns policies and programs consistent with the Company's philosophy and objectives
• Identifies opportunities to optimize existing processes, develop process improvements
• Partners with accounting and others to provide financial analysis support as needed
