BS degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.

Must have some Engineering Project knowledge.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Must be proficient in Office Productivity (MS Office) software. Specific technical software proficiency not required.

Position requires pre-assignment drug screen.

Job Description:

The Dow Business Unit of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Engineer for immediate employment in the Midland, Michigan office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate solid technical capability and experience specific to geologic and environmental studies, engineering and problem solving.

URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. This position will work in a team environment and will report directly to the Office Manager. Successful candidate may expect to supervise up to 5 staff, including conducting performance reviews, budgeting, cost tracking, schedule development and other project management responsibilities. Additional responsibilities will include fieldwork (including inspections, field walks, sample collection or testing), engineering & design, feasibility evaluations, client communications, regulatory reporting and quality assurance.

The candidate can build on his/her career through continuing education and on-the-job training. The identification of new clients and will be expected to represent URS' technical superiority and professionalism.
