Minimum Requirements: We are looking for a PM/CM Business Development Manager with a minimum of 10 years' experience selling to federal, state, and municipal governments in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Related experience with the Higher Education and K-12 business sectors. Bachelor's Degree in related field (engineering, sciences, business, marketing).
• Excellent communication skills; interpersonal; organization and analytical skills; executive presence; articulate, creative and forward thinker. • Documented track record of continuous business development activities and continuing education. • Successful track record of marketing new and existing clients; have an extensive contact network with federal, state and local municipal governments. • Must be able to travel to support business opportunities (20 to 30%). • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (including Power Point). • Extensive experience in preparing proposals and conducting presentations.

This Business Development (BD) position is located in Pittsburgh, PA, and is a senior position with direct responsibility for identifying, developing, and closing PM/CM project opportunities in the regions serviced by the URS Pittsburgh Office. Responsible for the development of new businesses and the expansion of market share of existing business within the local area; ensure that company objectives and financial targets are met or exceeded.
Primary Responsibilities • Develop, coordinate, and implement a Business Plan that involves the generation of new work from existing clients and obtaining work from new clients. • Effectively interacts with URS staff in open communication, developing winning presentations and proposals. • Contributes to “must win” proposal efforts for his/her office, region or division. • Lead URS negotiation team to successfully close business opportunities. • Serve as Client Manager for various clients as deemed appropriate. • Establish customer relations and good will to include customer feedback networks and continuous quality improvement initiatives and programs. • Identify market needs and trends. • Provide coaching and technical expertise to employees. • Increase URS’ visibility within the Pittsburgh Office region.
