AECOM is looking to hire a Risk Management Analyst. Risk Management is a specialized component of Project Management. The goal of Risk Management is to effectively and proactively manage the project and ultimately bring the project to successful completion within budget and schedule requirements and managing them to meet project goals.
The responsibility of the Risk Analyst is to support Project Management in areas pertaining to risk. Typical responsibilities include creation and maintenance of risk registers, facilitating risk interviews and workshops, and conducting analytical quantitative risk analysis. Some projects include cost contingency management, contingency planning, escalation studies, insurance studies, etc.
Applicants must have a strong mathematical background, especially in the areas of probability and statistics (random variables, probability distributions, correlation, etc). Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation and any experience with applicable software, such as @Risk, Pertmaster, Crystal Ball, and/or Active Risk Manager, is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
This position is based in New York City but, as AECOM is a global corporation, travel may be required.
