• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited 4 year college or university and seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majoring in Accounting. Finance or Business Administration degrees with 15 or more credit hours towards Accounting as an alternative. (Please list accounting courses and number of credit hours in profile). • Must have the intent to attend the subsequent term as a full-time student. • Must have completed a minimum of 60 overall credit hours and 15 credit hours in accounting prior to the start of the internship. • Must be able to travel out to project locations for onsite work of up to 3 consecutive weeks. • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.

Job Description: URS Corporation is seeking an accounting summer intern to be based in our Fort Mill, SC location at the URS Nuclear Center for the Summer of 2012.
Typical Responsibilities: • Project accounting with a core focus on client billings, account reconciliations, and support of month-end accounting processes. Additionally, this intern will support Business Managers, whose responsibilities include: • Studies business methods in order to improve work flow, simplify reporting procedures, or implement cost reductions. • Analyzes business practices such as record keeping systems, personnel and budgetary requirements, and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures. • Prepares and analyzes annual budgets and financial forecasts. • Prepares administrative directions outlining policy and procedures. • Selects, hires, trains, and assigns business administration staff for new projects. • Establishes, directs, and maintains all business administration activities and procedures in accordance with company policies. • Provides project and company management with project financial and manpower information and forecasting. • Works with clients, vendors, subcontractors, etc. regarding the commercial terms of the contract, as well as maintains close contact with their counterparts in the client organization.
