Minimum Requirements:

Candidates for this position must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences preferred.
• Must have excellent organization and writing skills.
• Must understand common technical and scientific terms in the fields of public health, infectious diseases and/or epidemiology.
• Prior experience in a public health or scientific setting preferred.
• Must possess knowledge of molecular biology and protein chemistry-related equipment and supplies.

Job Description:

URS Corporation is looking for a Scientific Administrative Assistant to join their team in Crystal City, VA. This individual will support the Project Manager and technical team in the preparation of technical/scientific documents in the field of infectious diseases, public health and epidemiology.

• Maintain accurate records ensuring document/version control on products.
• Compile meeting minutes, agendas and assist with presentations as required.
• Attend weekly and monthly teleconferences and meetings with the client and client-associated subject matter experts ensuring accurate minutes, tracking of action items and deliverables.
• Support travel arrangements for the team to include air, lodging, international country clearance, passports and visas.
• Travel to meetings will be within the greater DC area.
• Assist with the procurement, inventory and maintenance of government property management data files.

This position may perform other duties as needed.
