Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a BS from an accredited institution in a related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience. Master’s degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for up to two years of work experience.
PhD degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for up to three years of experience.
Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
The candidate will be required to:
• Conduct requirements capture through direct interface with the client and project stakeholders to define systems requirements and functionality and establish scope, schedule and fees.
• Conduct field investigations and determine existing facility and systems conditions to support design and implementation activities.
• Develop detailed designs inclusive of the development of plans, technical and non-technical specifications, bid forms and General and Special conditions.
• Develop technical reports and studies
• Perform required calculations, conduct multidisciplinary cross coordination and create systems procurement packages suitable for a variety of procurement methods including; Low bid, design build, CM / GC at risk etc. that exhibit a high level of technical accuracy and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Have a sound understanding of the implementation requirements for technical
Airport systems.
• Required to Travel on a limited basis
• Engage in business development activities including: Liaise with industry professionals, develop Technical Proposals and conduct presentations

The Aviation Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Sr. Electronics Systems Designer for immediate employment in the Tampa Florida office. The appropriately qualified applicant will have strong communications and writing skills, be proficient in the use of the MS suite of software programs and be able to demonstrate significant technical knowledge and full range of design and construction oversight capabilities with respect to a broad range of technical systems commonly found in the airport environment. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated design and implementation Project Management experience.
