Job Description:

At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the oil industry. Our Infrastructure/Facilities Manageris responsible for managing identified industrial facilities and real estate in multiple locations in Alaska for maximum cost savings, asset preservation and efficiency. Each day, you will be responsible for long range facility plans, building project management, capital budgeting, maintenance, improvements, contractor management, and assurance of safe and environmentally compliant facilities. You should be a self motivated professional with a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Accounting or other related field with eight years work experience in the field of building or project management, building operations, or support services leadership, five years work experience managing a team and have a desire to grow personally and professionally with each new project.

Our Infrastructure/Facilities Managers:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for industrial property, including building maintenance, systems, major repairs, projects and internal land use issues
  • Establish annual and long term capital and maintenance budgets for building operations, manages to projected performance measures
  • Serve as Project Manager for major repairs, remodeling, or reconfigurations on identified properties, including responsibility for bids, budgets, capital purchase requests, scheduling, bids, specifications, layouts, contracts and coordinating vendors/contractors, permitting and other regulatory issues
  • Closely coordinate internal company functions and use of facilities and land for maximum efficiency and return. Demonstrate excellent communication skills in keeping internal property users informed about their facilities, and facilitate changes in facility/land use between occupants
  • Are responsible for management of maintenance requests and staff at specified locations – supervise, hire and develop contractors and building maintenance team based in Deadhorse, including Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators. Prioritize work and manage pace of work
  • Are accountable for regulatory compliance, preventative maintenance and required inspections on buildings and building systems, assigning work and following through to completion. This includes, but is not limited to HVAC, Boilers, Electrical, Structural, Potable and Wastewater Treatment Systems, Overhead Cranes, etc. Use computerized system to track this work
  • Coordinate all new signage for buildings with Corporate Marketing Dept to ensure consistent branding
  • Assure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations (OSHA, Fire Marshal, etc…)
  • Work other projects as assigned

Additional Information:Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided. CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc) to fill this position.

Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Accounting or other related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience can be substituted
  • Five to eight years work experience in the field of building or project management, building operations, or support services leadership
  • Five years work experience managing a team
  • Valid driver's license including ability to be insured by CH2M Hill's auto insurer required. (*All applicants must provide an acceptable five year DMV record at the time of application)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of facilities best practices and local building codes and requirements
  • Must possess strong supervisory, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Functional proficiency with MS Office applications and ability to utilize various databases in support of facilities/reprographic work
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and effectively manage conflicts and assignments under time constraints and changing priorities
  • Ability to manage a budget, reconcile budgetary differences and investigate
