CH2M HILL Senior Procurement Director-Los Angels, CA
The Challenge: The Senior Procurement Director works with responsible Busines Group and Procurement department Management to provide Procurement resources, systems and procedures to support operations and project requirements. Develops and maintains meaningful relationships with applicable internal peers. Develops and maintains meaningful relationships with external entities such as suppliers and contractors, professional associations, existing and potential new clients. Provides support with the aid of subordinates to; Project Management, Construction Management, Business Development, Legal, Finance and Insurance during proposal preparation and project execution.
The Logistics Director Oversees and where necessary approves the commitments made by operations and project procurement personnel within limits established in company procedures. Assures procurement staff and others comply with Procurement Policies and Procedures. Responsible for recruitment, termination and discipline of Procurement staff assigned.

The Senior Procurement Director:

Understands and is aware of changing market conditions with regard to availability and cost of procurement resources as well as movement and trends in the pricing of materials, equipment and services.
Reviews and updates working procedures, documents and systems to keep pace with legal requirements, competition and market innovations.
Maintains performance metrics to measure the performance of those responsible with regard to cost savings, on time delivery and cost of rework
Assists in the resolution of complex Purchase Order and Subcontract disputes
Effectively communicates with CG/BG & Operations Management, Senior Procurement Management, internal departments and with Client on Procurement issues.
Participates in development of complex Project / Program Execution Plans
Recommends sources of supply, when requested, including minority and women owned businesses, where applicable

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 20 years Procurement mgt experience with multi national Construction/Engineering firm
