• Associate's Degree or 2+ years of formal technical training or demonstrated equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in area of specialization.
• Level II certification in multiple methods, at least one of which is RT, UT, MT, PT, VT or ET.

Job Description:

URS Corporation is seeking a Senior NDE Technician to perform outage support work on a casual basis. The position will travel between Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina and North Carolina. The expected duration in location in each location is approximately 2-3 week with extensive travel.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work of a group of employees.
• Possesses and applies thorough knowledge of products and production processes along with statistical control procedures, design, and testing procedures.
• Uses principles of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve practical testing and control problems.
• Responsible for ensuring quality through testing and inspection at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas, and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• May specialize in particular area of quality control/assurance such as incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, or research and development.
• Orients and trains the work of lower level employees.
