Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma plus Associate's degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience. Requires knowledge of construction and construction drawings, symbols, procedures, code and standard requirements, and inspection and testing techniques.

8 years experience in the field of quality control or quality assurance. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Ability to work effectively with minimal guidance. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Candidates should have experience with DSA and ADA compliance standards.

Must have own vehicle and valid California Driver’s License. Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.


Job Description:

Provide construction management and inspection for contract compliance with ADA, civil, architectural, structural, plumbing and mechanical on public works projects. Document project conditions, including photos and video as appropriate. Coordinate site visits for the design engineers for their review of the project. Review and understand submittals, progress payments, changes, non-compliance, field directives, RFI’s, O&M’s, training manuals. Requires understanding of basic estimating for evaluation of change orders.

Perform all required and necessary duties of a certified DSA Project Inspector and/or OSHPD Inspector Of Record including inspections required by plans, specifications and building codes for structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural compliance. Maintain daily, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Perform plan review. Maintain as-builts. Review submittals. Review contractor invoices for payment. Schedule and oversee special inspections.
