Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.

Minimum two years of relevant work experience.

Thorough knowledge of New York City Department of Design and Construction Infrastructure protocols and procedures regarding Construction Community Liaison.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2000 computer programs.

Well organized and strong leadership skills in dealing with local commercial businesses, local residents, Local Community Boards, Civic Organizations, etc.

Valid Driver's License.

Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.


Job Description:

The successful candidate needs to perform the following work tasks but not limited to:

• Plans and directs development and communication of information designed to keep the public informed of client and employer programs, accomplishments, or point of view.
• Arranges for public relations efforts in order to meet needs, objectives and policies.
• Prepares and distributes materials (e.g., fact sheets, news releases, reports, etc.) to media representatives, as appropriate, and others interested in learning about or publicizing employer or client activities or messages.
• Arranges for and conducts public information programs designed to meet employer or client objectives, utilizing knowledge of changing attitudes and opinions of consumers, clients, employees or other interest groups.
• Promotes goodwill through such publicity efforts.
• Represents employer or client during community projects and at public, social and business gatherings.
• May disseminate facts and information about organization or client activities or programs to the general public.
• Conducts research for projects.
