AECOM is seeking a CAD Drafter/Designer for the Seattle, WA office. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of increasing technical experience and application of Computer Aided Design (CAD) to a wide range of civil and environmental engineering projects, land and site planning, construction projects, environmental assessments, investigations and remediation projects, environmental impact analyses, and natural resource protection plans and assessments.

  Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
• Develop grading plans, earthwork calculations, and site civil plans and details.

• Develop design drawings for remediation systems, including civil, mechanical, and electrical elements.

• Produce drawings for environmental investigations, including groundwater isoelevation and contaminant isocontour maps, and geologic cross sections.

• Produce high quality plans and maps.

• Skilled and knowledgeable in developing working 3D surfaces from point database files, and experienced working with survey grade topographic data.


Requirements :

• Must possess a certificate/degree from an accredited technical training school or community college in multi-disciplinary projects as related to the civil and environmental market segments
• Must have a minimum of three years of career work experience and a demonstrated proficiency in using 2009 - 2011 AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk subscription extensions.

• Must have a working knowledge of projections and coordinate systems.

• Must be highly motivated, resourceful and be able to work independently.
• Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills.

• Must have the ability to multi-task and work within deadlines.

Preferred :


  • Experience working with AutoCAD 2010 or later.
  • Ability to perform basic civil design with minimal direction.
Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS suite of products (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcToolBox), and MicroStation.
