We are seeking a Financial Analyst to play an important role in the Corporate Operational Finance department of a global Fortune 500 company. The position has high visibility to senior management and provides an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into a range of strategic CFO-level priorities.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and maintain complex financial models
- Research and analyze financial statement data
- Perform forecasting and analysis
- Market research
- Develop reports for key strategic initiatives
- Perform ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses and research assignments
- Present key insights and recommendations to management team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, including financial statements, key financial ratios, valuation models and techniques
- Solid business acumen and ability to convey complex concepts
- Experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets and use of databases for analyzing financial data
- Persistence and a strong task orientation balanced with excellent teamwork, listening skills and diplomacy
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills
- Ability to develop structure and processes
- Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining attention to detail
- Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- High proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint; Access proficiency preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) and 4-6 years related experience in finance, investment banking, consulting or strategic planning. MBA or CPA preferred.
