CH2M HILL Engineering Careers – Entry to Mid Level Estimator Jobs – Corvallis, Oregon

The challenge? Our Estimator career path is your chance to tackle construction bids for large-scale military and government design and redesign projects serving as a key project team member from project bid until completion. Each day, you will be part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team with access to a great deal of resources to complete your tasks and grow in skill. You should be a self-motivated professional with a successful 3 - 9 year track record in commercial or government construction cost estimating, an AS or BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each construction job and project. Some domestic and international travel will be required for this position. DoD and/or other US government experience is preferred. AACE and/or LEED certification is desirable. The ideal candidate will have broad understanding of all phases of work from civil to structural to mechanical and electrical systems.

Our Estimators:

Work with the Project team to determine scope and goals of projects.
Prepare project cost construction estimates based on conceptual to detailed designs and client needs.
Work along with Estimating Lead, Project/Design Managers, and design to prepare capital and construction estimates.
Utilize cost estimating resources such as Success Estimator, Timberline, PACES, and MII software.

Position requires a current Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain). To obtain, must be a U.S. citizen

Basic Qualifications

AS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
Minimum of four years experience in detailed, parametric, and conceptual cost estimates for new construction and renovation/rehab of buildings and infrastructure as a contractor, consultant, or government entity.

Associates or 2 Year Degree
