CH2M HILL Solid Waste Transfer Station & MRF Design Lead Careers - Seattle area, Washington

Our Solid Waste Transfer Station & MRF Design Lead jobs provide you with an opportunity to develop and maintain lasting business relationships with clients. Each day, you will lead major design and design/build projects for solid waste transfer stations and materials recovery facilities (MRFs) worldwide. You should be a client-focused problem solver with 20+ years of waste and regulatory experience; have a BS degree; and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with eachproject.

Our Solid Waste Transfer Station & MRF Design Lead :

Develops firm wide strategy for expanding business related to solid waste transfer station and MRF planning, design and construction. Identifies specific opportunities fitting in with the strategy. Assists regional marketing teams in evaluating opportunities they identify. Participates in go/no go decisions with global and regional management teams. Leads strategic project pursuits with the assistance of marketing and proposal production teams
Manages major projects and provides senior review to provide design approach consistency and quality assurance across the firm. Project management includes responsibility for project planning, profit and loss, and client communication
Is the arbiter of technical standards for facility design firm wide, and will be responsible for maintaining these standards at or above current market requirements
Mentors junior staff
Leads or participates in sales efforts to win new clients
Participates in proposal preparation for new and existing clients
Participates in national/regional client organization associations.
Has recognition as a waste management leader in professional engineering circles

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific discipline
Minimum of 20 years of previous environmental consulting or industry experience.
Technical Background would include but not be limited to:
- Disposal Site Development/Redevelopment (i.e. taking a project from initial concept siting, planning, on through permitting, design and construction)
- Waste Recycling
- Facilities planning and design

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
